Ms. Herrera
Special education and Spanish teacher, San Diego
- 🇺🇸 San Diego, California, United States
- Queensway Primary School
- 1986 to 2012
- English
I taught special education at Queensway Primary School in San Diego from 1986 to 2012. Most days I taught Grade 11, and I never turned anyone away.
Over the years I had 1,170 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Ms. Herrera: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
