For 48 years I have been the environmental science teacher at Barranquilla Boys' School. I teach first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've run the choir after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I'm always reading two books at once.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

What gifts mean to Ms. Hernández: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
