Ms. Hanson
Music and history teacher, Oakland
- 🇺🇸 Oakland, California, United States
- Oakland Public School
- 2013 to 2024
- English
I taught music at Oakland Public School in Oakland from 2013 to 2024. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
Over the years I had 550 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Hanson
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Ms. Hanson: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
