I taught religious studies at Eastgate Secondary School in Winston-Salem from 1987 to 2007. Most days I taught Year 9, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I coached the school's netball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm still learning every day.
