Ms. Gutierrez
Mathematics and chemistry teacher, Brooklyn
- 🇺🇸 Brooklyn, New York, United States
- Brooklyn Academy
- Since 2011
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a bank clerk, and 15 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 720 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.

If you were in my primary school children class, you probably remember the snow day nobody expected.

What gifts mean to Ms. Gutierrez: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

I'm a paramedic now and I honestly think it started in your classroom. Greetings from Osaka.
