I taught special education at Negombo Technical College in Negombo from 1993 to 2007. Most days I taught Grade 11, and I learned every name in the first week.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
