For 24 years I have been the physics teacher at Rio de Janeiro High School. I teach primary school children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Ms. Guimarães
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Guimarães: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
