For 48 years I have been the environmental science teacher at Unity Technical College. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
