For 42 years I have been the agriculture teacher at Porto Alegre Academy. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 840 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Ms. Gomes: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me agriculture in 2025 at Porto Alegre Academy. I still remember the surprise birthday cake. Greetings from San Diego.

You taught me agriculture in 1992 at Porto Alegre Academy. I still remember that terrible school play.
