I taught English literature at Baobab Primary School in San Antonio from 2015 to 2024. Most days I taught first-year students, and I answered every email, even at midnight.
I coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Ms. Gilbert
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Gilbert: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
