Ms. Getu
37 years teaching social studies in Bahir Dar
- 🇪🇹 Bahir Dar, Amhara, Ethiopia
- Meadowbank Secondary School
- 1982 to 1990
- English, Amharic
I taught social studies at Meadowbank Secondary School in Bahir Dar from 1982 to 1990. Most days I taught Year 9, and I never turned anyone away.
I coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Ms. Getu: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
