I taught French at El Paso Technical College in El Paso from 1989 to 2003. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I ran the homework club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
What gifts mean to Ms. Garg: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
