I taught social studies at Laredo Academy in Laredo from 1986 to 2007. Most days I taught teenagers, and I never once raised my voice.
I ran the chess club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
