I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and 24 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 860 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Figueroa
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

You taught me agriculture in 2025 at Birmingham Academy. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard!
