I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 22 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Ms. Ferreira
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Ms. Ferreira: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
