For 46 years I have been the art teacher at San Fernando Middle School. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,330 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Fernandez
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Ms. Fernandez: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
