I taught home economics at St. Mary's Academy in Tallahassee from 1988 to 2014. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
I ran the choir after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
