I teach social studies at Hillcrest Public School in Johannesburg since 1998. Most days I teach first-year students, and I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I've coached the school's quiz team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Ms. Du Plessis
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Du Plessis: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
