Ms. Du Plessis
Social studies and French teacher, East London
- 🇿🇦 East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa
- Silverlake Boys' School
- Since 1991
- English
I teach social studies at Silverlake Boys' School in East London since 1991. Most days I teach the final-year class, and my door is open at lunch.
I've coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Ms. Du Plessis
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Du Plessis: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me social studies in 1998 at Silverlake Boys' School. I still remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand. Greetings from Bengaluru.
