I teach biology and early years at Harbor Boys' School, La Plata. I never raise my voice. I've coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Ms. Díaz: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
