I taught social studies at Lucknow Middle School in Lucknow from 1992 to 2015. Most days I taught Year 7, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 850 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Dhillon
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Dhillon: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
