Ms. Desta
Biology and physics teacher, Bahir Dar
- 🇪🇹 Bahir Dar, Amhara, Ethiopia
- Since 1982
- English, Amharic
I came to teaching late, after working as an accountant, and 44 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

What gifts mean to Ms. Desta: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me biology in 1990 at Bahir Dar High School. I still remember the end-of-term party.
