I came to teaching late, after working as a bank clerk, and 14 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 290 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
More about Ms. Deschamps
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Ms. Deschamps: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
