I came to teaching late, after working as a mechanic, and 36 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Ms. Darwish
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Ms. Darwish: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
