I teach Spanish and English literature at Fairview Girls' School, Latina. I never turn anyone away.
Over the years I've had 270 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Ms. D'Amico
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
