I came to teaching late, after working as a bank clerk, and 21 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 710 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Ms. Cunha
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Ms. Cunha: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
