For 24 years I have been the home economics teacher at San Cristóbal de las Casas Boys' School. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 650 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

What gifts mean to Ms. Cruz: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
