I taught special education at Ashford Secondary School in Bogotá from 1998 to 2018. Most days I taught teenagers, and my door was open at lunch.
Over the years I had 1,120 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

What gifts mean to Ms. Contreras: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
