I taught art at Ashford Technical College in Kano from 1991 to 2003. Most days I taught Year 7, and I learned every name in the first week.
Over the years I had 340 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

What gifts mean to Ms. Chukwu: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
