For 31 years I have been the history teacher at Pune Girls' School. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Ms. Chowdhury
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Chowdhury: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
