I taught chemistry at Newcastle upon Tyne Public School in Newcastle upon Tyne from 1979 to 2001. Most days I taught teenagers, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
Over the years I had 810 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Ms. Chen: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
