For 39 years I have been the English literature teacher at Sakura Grammar School. I teach Grade 8 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,290 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

If you were in my Grade 8 class, you probably remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
