I teach social studies at Los Angeles Technical College in Los Angeles since 1979. Most days I teach the final-year class, and I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I've coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Ms. Carlson
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
