For nine years I was the religious studies teacher at Maple Ridge Technical College. I taught Grade 11 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

What gifts mean to Ms. Campos: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
