I teach design and technology at Good Shepherd Middle School in Syracuse since 2009. Most days I teach the final-year class, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I've coached the school's netball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Ms. Callahan
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
