Ms. Bowers
Social studies and history teacher, Hamilton
- 🇳🇿 Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand
- Gateway Public School
- 1994 to 2011
- English
For 17 years I was the social studies teacher at Gateway Public School. I taught mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 540 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Bowers
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Bowers: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
