I taught chemistry at Trinity High School in Petrópolis from 1998 to 2013. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
Over the years I had 270 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
What gifts mean to Ms. Bezerra: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
