For 19 years I was the history teacher at Los Angeles Primary School. I taught Grade 4 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 840 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

What gifts mean to Ms. Benítez: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
