I taught physical education at Dhaka Middle School in Dhaka from 2017 to 2025. Most days I taught Grade 6, and I learned every name in the first week.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I learned every name in the first week.
More about Ms. Begum
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the national park, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Ms. Begum: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
