I taught social studies at Guarulhos Secondary School in Guarulhos from 1983 to 2006. Most days I taught Grade 4, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
I coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Ms. Batista
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Batista: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
