I teach English literature at Gateway Secondary School in Toronto since 1985. Most days I teach Grade 6, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I've had 1,390 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

If you were in my Grade 6 class, you probably remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.
