Ms. Azevedo

Taught economics at Gateway Secondary School

  • Portuguese
I taught economics at Gateway Secondary School in Petrópolis from 1986 to 1994. Most days I taught Year 7, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term. I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Ms. Azevedo

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
