Ms. Ávila
Accounting and physics teacher, Celaya
- 🇲🇽 Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico
- Celaya Academy
- 2004 to 2021
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 17 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 780 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Ms. Ávila: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me accounting in 2020 at Celaya Academy. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard. Truly.
