I teach geography and biology at Northside Secondary School, Córdoba. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I've coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Ms. Ávila
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Ms. Ávila: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
