Ms. Amin
Biology and social studies teacher, Oakland
- 🇺🇸 Oakland, California, United States
- Maple Ridge Academy
- 2009 to 2025
- English, Arabic, French
For 16 years I was the biology teacher at Maple Ridge Academy. I taught Year 10 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I ran the reading group after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Ms. Amin
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
