I taught social studies at St. Joseph's Girls' School in Porto Alegre from 2012 to 2025. Most days I taught Grade 11, and I never once raised my voice.
Over the years I had 720 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Amaral
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Ms. Amaral: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me social studies in 2015 at St. Joseph's Girls' School. I still remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly. Thank you again.
