I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 39 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've run the science fair after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I bake for the whole street at New Year.

What gifts mean to Ms. Álvarez: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
