I teach history and music at Istanbul Public School, Istanbul. I play music while people worked.
Over the years I've had 1,370 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Altun
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Ms. Altun: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
