I taught art and economics at Makati High School, Makati. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Ms. Alcantara
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Ms. Alcantara: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
