For 45 years I have been the environmental science teacher at Jacaranda High School. I teach Grade 11 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Ms. Aksoy: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
